Maritime UK has announced Artemis Technologies as a Diamond Sponsor for the Maritime UK Awards 2024, taking place at the world famous Titanic Museum, Belfast on 5 June.
The Maritime UK Awards recognises the very best that the UK maritime sector has to offer and gives us a chance to celebrate this vital £116 Billion industry.
Artemis Technologies, based in Belfast, is a global leader in fast, green maritime vessels and technologies. Later this year, together with the Belfast Maritime Consortium, they will be launching the world’s first 100% electric foiling ferry to meet the International Maritime Organisation’s High Speed Craft code.
Chris Shirling-Rooke, Chief Executive at Maritime UK said,
“We are thrilled to announce Artemis Technologies as one of our Diamond Sponsors for this year’s Maritime UK Awards. With significant opportunities and technological change happening across our maritime sector, it’s great to have Artemis Technologies onboard to highlight the vibrancy of our sector here in Belfast.”
Dr Iain Percy OBE, CEO of Artemis Technologies, commented,
“We are delighted to have been instrumental in bringing the Maritime UK Awards to our home city of Belfast.
“Belfast has been at the forefront of maritime innovation for over a century, and we are proud to be playing our part in continuing that legacy and heralding a new era for maritime. The awards themselves represent what is great about the UK maritime industry. We are proud to be sponsoring the “Clean Maritime Operator Award” which recognises those companies going the extra mile to decarbonise our sector. A challenge that is at the heart of our business.
The Clean Maritime Operator Award sponsored by Artemis Technologies will be awarded to a company or individual who has developed, tested or operated technologies in the UK that have made a significant contribution to the transition to zero emissions for the Maritime sector.
The awards, which are open to companies from across the breadth of the maritime sector including its shipping, ports, services, engineering, and leisure marine industries, opened on 13 March and applications are already piling in. Submissions close on 16 April.
